My Opinions and Recommendations
Martina is a country diva who has occasionally managed to cross over into the pop music world. She has an impressive voice, although I think some of her music has started to sound to similiar. I have her album Martina, which I bought because I really loved the cutesy song This One's For the Girls. I also like the second single off the album, How Far. Martina has proven she has amazing strength in her voice, I just wish she would use the strength more often.
If you like Martina and you haven't heard of Faith Hill, you need to try Faith out. The two women's music are virtually inseperable in my mind. Faith Hill is an obvious choice. Someone a little less obvious that I would suggest is Mandy Moore's album Coverage. On that album Mandy sings a lot of old songs and shows a strength in her voice that rivals Martina's. Finally, put Sara Evans in your stereo and see if you like her. She is calming without being quite as cheesy.
