Yes... that's right, this actress also sings, and quite well! I was introduced to Minnie when I went to see Liz Phair in concert and Minnie came out on the stage. The audience wasn't sure what to expect, but when she started to sing, most of us were enchanted. Minnie's voice is beautiful, and she sings smooth, soft songs that relax me. Her album is nice in its entirety, but I really enjoy Invisible Girl and her cover of Bruce Springsteen's Hungry Heart.
If you heard Minnie and like her, I think she has a sound similar to that of Natalie Merchant. Both voices capture your attention with their tones. I think the type of music is similar to that of Sarah McLachlan in how relaxing it is. Finally, listen to Rachael Yamagata. Rachael is also new, but her lyrics are poetic in a way that Minnie's are also.
